Samba of Redemption

Rio's slum, 45 days until Carnival. Former samba prodigy Mateus returns after five dark years in prison, only to find that what he destroyed was not only his former glory but also the hope of a family. Viewed as a murderer by the community, he faces the relentless hatred and obstacles from the victim's mother, Dona Lúcia, and decides to form a children's samba troupe made up of slum orphans to reclaim himself and provide the children with a way out of violence.
